2022 BEST & FAIREST WINNERS

More than 300 people came together last night to celebrate the best of the west at the 2022 WRFL Senior Presentation evening.

Players, coaches, umpires, sponsors, league, and club officials took centre stage at Encore Events Centre in Hoppers Crossing as the WRFL presented a range of prestigious awards including the coveted Barry Priest Medal.

Unsung Hero Award – Pete Matovic, North Footscray

Lindsay Patching Club Official of the Year – Terry Azzopardi, Caroline Springs

Boundary Umpire of the Year – Angus Cameron

Goal Umpire of the Year – Bradley Heffernan-Benfield

Field Umpires of the Year – Greg Denison & Shannon Van Boven

Rookie of the Year (Male) – Dylan Laurie, Caroline Springs

Rookie of the Year (Female) – Jacinta Kondis, Caroline Springs

MVP – Ashlin Brown, Hoppers Crossing

Senior Coach of the Year – Dean Cachia, Suns

Female Coach of the Year – Ellyse Gamble, Williamstown Juniors
