The WRFL-Western Bulldogs Heartland Award was developed to promote and encourage ‘good sportsmanship’ for WRFL junior players from the Under-8s, through to the Under-14s inclusive.

The award is an effective way to teach our young players an important life skill in that while it’s always good to win, the old adage “It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game that counts”, is an important element in our junior player’s development.

At the conclusion of each match, when the two teams come together to shake hands, the coach from the home team will select one player from the opposition side, who they believe embodies the true essence of the game-that being fair play, fun, involvement and respect for both opposition and umpires. That player will be presented with a special Heartland Award certificate, which gives them the chance to go into the draw to win the major prize of a unique Bulldogs experience with Marcus Bontempelli at the end of the season.

To go into the draw to win, please enter your unique code from your Heartland certificate here…

Congratulations to everyone who received a WRFL-Western Bulldogs Heartland Award on the weekend.
