2022 TARNEIT PREVIEW
New Tarneit coach Brent Sheean says he has loved being a part of the Titans and is relishing the role of being coach for the first time.
Sheean, a Division 2 Best and Fairest winner, was appointed coach of Tarneit in November, taking over from Justin Palmer.
“I have loved it,” he said.
“The boys have really brought into what we are trying to achieve, and they have improved dramatically over the past five months.”
Sheean said the focus this pre-season was improvement.
“The buy-in was easy and then we started off with the basics and then our fitness and then lately we have focused more on structures,” he said.
“What you will see from us is improvement. They had a lull last year and we know we really want to move up the ladder.”
Sheean understands there is an unknown heading into this season but was looking forward to the challenge.
“It has been a long pre-season, and everyone will say they are flying, but we don’t really know until Round 1. That’s when we will see how much we have improved.”
Tarneit take on Albanvale at Wootten Road Reserve in Round 1 of the Alan Mance Motors Division 3 competition.
