PLAYERS OF THE MONTH – JUNE

The TIV Division 1 Senior Men’s and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee Senior Women’s Players of the Month have been decided with Hoppers Crossing star Josh Pickess and Point Cook Centrals young gun Charli Sette picked as the standout players for their respective competitions in June.

Pickess had a truly dominant month for the reigning premiers averaging 25 disposals, four tackles, and five goals a game in June. His 15 goals came via hauls of three, five and a season-best seven majors with his play seeing him named in the Warriors’ top two players in all three of their big wins.

Sette, last year’s Under 18 Girls best and fairest winner has had no problems adapting to senior football for a young and improving Sharks outfit. In June she was named best on ground in all four of her side’s matches, the last of those a nail-biting one-point win over Wyndhamvale.
