PLAYERS OF THE MONTH – MAY
Parkside Spurs midfielder Rita Ceravolo has been named the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee Senior Women’s Player of the Month and Tyson Brazel of Yarraville Seddon the TIV Division 1 Senior Men’s Player of the Month for May.
Ceravolo has been outstanding this year and was named in the best three players for her team in every game last month, three of those wins. She also played a crucial role in the WFNL’s Senior Women’s Interleague victory over the Southern Football Netball League on May 17.
Eagles forward Brazel topped the goal kicking chart in May thanks to three straight bags of five before capping off the month by booting a season-best seven goals. After seven rounds he is second in the competition with 26 majors for the season.
