23RD PLAYERS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN ROUND FIVE
For the first time this year WFNL Senior Men’s football teams have the ability to select and play a 23rd player in Round 5.
The 23rd player rule will see players who turn 19 (in 2024) or aged younger, who are yet to play three or more senior (first 18) career games, feature as the 23rd player on their respective club’s senior team.
The rule was introduced at the beginning of 2020 and first implemented in the 2021 season.
Ten players across TIV Division 1 and the Division 2 competition have been picked as the 23rd player this weekend.
There will also be further opportunities for clubs to use a 23rd player throughout the year.
You can see the full list of games being played in Round 5 HERE.
