2022 GLEN ORDEN PREVIEW

New Glen Orden coach Nathan Moon believes if you are just 10% off in a game this season, you will get beaten, that’s how tough the Division 2 competition will be.

Moon, who is a former WRFL player, arrived at the Hawks after being an assistant coach with Uni Blacks in the VAFA. He has taken over from former premiership coach Phil Crea.

“I have enjoyed the opportunity of being in charge of a well-run footy club, who is ready to take the next step overall,” he said.

“We have moved up from Division 3 and we are now continuing that climb and preparing for the next challenge.”

Like many others in Division 2, Moon predicts the competition will be an entertaining competition.

“I am very excited about this season. I don think there will be a dead game. There isn’t a clear standout premiership favourite or wooden spoon favourite,” Moon said.

Glen Orden’s first game of the 2022 season will be against Point Cook Centrals.

“We have had two practice matches, which have been good. We have had mixed results, but we have made sure to tick those boxes, so we are ready to play our best football,” Moon said.

Round 1 of the Division 2 competition kicks-off on April 2.
