SUNS BOOK GRAND FINAL SPOT, BROOKERS ADVANCE

The Suns made a strong statement in their 52-point victory over Albanvale in the Alan Mance Motors Division 3 Second Semi Final, booking a spot in the Grand Final.
The Suns were able to hold Albanvale at bay in the first half, opening up an early lead and maintaining that throughout.
The premiership quarter kicked the Suns into a higher gear, as they added six goals to the scoreboard.
Dean Cachia cracked the ton, adding four goals to his mammoth 2022 campaign.
John Tomelty and Cameron Joyce were standouts with two goals each, while Josh Foster and Blake Jago slotted three goals apiece.
For the Cobras, Bobby Saric (two goals) and Brock Mclarty were valiant in defeat.
The Suns will enjoy the week off next week, booking themselves a spot in the Grand Final on September 11 at Avalon Airport Oval.
Braybrook advance further into finals after an eight-point win over Sunshine Heights at Pennell Reserve.
The Dragons brought the intensity early, leading 3.1. (19) to 0.2. (2).
Braybrook responded in resounding fashion with a six-goal second term.
The third term was much like the first, as the Dragons regained momentum for a dominant quarter.
With an 11-point deficit to make up, Braybrook hit their straps in the last quarter with a five-goal to two display.
Shaun Buttigieg-Clarke was at his goal-kicking best for the Brookers with a four-goal performance.
Buttigieg-Clarke, alongside Nicholas Gregson, James Grubb, and Rhys Mutch, were the catalysts for a Braybrook comeback, as the quartet were outstanding in the do-or-die clash.
The must-win games continue for Braybrook, as they are set to face Albanvale in Sunday’s Preliminary Final.
