CLOSE GAMES ACROSS ALL NETBALL DIVISIONS IN ROUND 9

 

DIVISION 1

Spotswood Gold and Braybrook Whitten have tied 29 all in a thrillingly close match in Round 9.

The game was balanced throughout with each team doing well on the attack.

Kimberly Philipps was the lead goal scorer of the game with 23 goals for Spotswood.

Yarraville Seddon Eagles have defeated Manor Lakes Storm 1 in a tight 30 to 28 victory.

The game was close throughout, but it was Yarraville who proved strongest, pulling ahead at every turn.

Jessica Christie for Manor Lakes was the game’s top scorer with 22 points for her team.

PCCSC Bull Sharks took down Lakers 1 in a big 40 to 31 defeat.

Despite the Lakers having the lead at the close of the first quarter, PCCSC dominated the final three quarters to take the win.

Rebecca Hicks was atop the goal-scoring leaderboard yet again with 36 goals for the Bull Sharks.

 

DIVISION 2

PCCSC Tiger Sharks and Albanvale Cobras took the second tie of the night with 24 goals each.

The game was close at every turn with Albanvale Cobras up at the close of each quarter, however, they just couldn’t hold onto their lead, ending the game in a draw.

Tamika Taylor was the game’s top scorer with 20 goals for Albanvale.

PCCSC Hammerhead Sharks and Spotswood Green also ran away with a tie, drawing 31 all.

The Sharks had the lead going into the fourth quarter but after being outscored eleven goals to seven in the final term, the game resulted in a tie.

Sharks player Jessie Patterson was the lead scorer of the game with 25 goals for her team.

Lakers 2 took a big win against North Footscray Red in a smashing 44 to 28 victory.

North Footscray fought hard for the win but the Lakers dominated at every turn, coming out on top at the end of every quarter.

Lakers player Jamie Ritchie was the lead scorer for the game with a massive 35 goals for her side.

Braybrook Hawkins took a major win against Manor Lakes Storm 2 in a big 43 to 19 victory.

Tiarnah Lloyd was the game’s top scorer with 33 goals for Braybrook.

 

DIVISION 3

Spotswood Black took the win in a close match against PCCSC Megalodon Sharks in a thrilling 27 to 24 win.

The Sharks had the lead in the first half but it was Spotswood who proved too dominant in the second half, running away with the win in the end.

Sharks player Janine Long was the game’s top scorer with 16 goals for her team.

Albion Cats White have taken the win against the Suns in a thrilling 26 to 20 victory.

Albion was the dominant team in each quarter, building on their lead at every turn.

Bianca Bonanzinga was the game’s top scorer, bagging 20 goals for Albion.

Braybrook Priest took down Lakers 3 in a great 31 to 23 win.

Braybrook was the dominant team in each quarter, running away with the lead.

Christina Afoa was the lead scorer for the game with 17 goals for Braybrook.

Laverton Magpies defeated PCCSC Great White Sharks 27 to 19 in a thrilling victory.

The Magpies were only up by 2 points going into the fourth quarter but a dominant quarter that saw them outscore their opponents eight goals to two helped them take the win.

Laverton’s Danielle Pompey was the top scorer of the game with 19 goals for her team.

 

DIVISION 4

North Sunshine Roadrunners have defeated Lakers 4 in a thrilling one-point win in a 27 to 26 victory.

The game was close at every turn but it was North Sunshine who proved too strong in the end.

Caitlin Wehl was the game’s top scorer with 16 goals for the Lakers.

Albanvale Blue has defeated Albion Cats Blue in a massive 31 to 22 victory.

Albanvale were the dominant team at every turn with their player Ayuen Manyang bagging 27 goals for the team as the game’s top scorer.

Manor Lakes Storm 4 have handed Sunshine Kangaroos a thrilling defeat in a close 23 to 21 match.

Although the game was close, Manor Lakes had the lead at the close of each quarter, managing to build upon it at every turn.

Manor Lakes player Lisa Mcnell was the game’s top scorer with 15 goals for her team.

 

DIVISION 5

PCCSC Reef Sharks took the win against Braybrook Cowell/John in a thrilling 29 to 25 victory.

Braybrook fought hard for the win but the Sharks proved too strong, holding the lead at the close of each quarter.

Sharks player Erin Colson was the top scorer of the game with 22 goals for PCCSC.

Laverton Black took the win against Lakers 5 in a big 24 to 11 victory.

Laverton were the dominant team, building on their lead at every turn. Player Makayla Lee was once again the lead scorer of the game with 14 goals for Laverton.

Glen Orden Gold took a big win against PCCSC Nurse Sharks in a 26 to 15 victory.

Glen Orden were the dominant team throughout with their player Jaimee Johnson once again topping the goal scorer leaderboard for the game with 18 goals.

North Footscray White took the win in a close 25 to 23 win against Point Cook.

North Footscray clung to their lead at each quarter despite Point Cook fighting hard at each turn.

Alanna Bonney was the top scorer of the game with 18 goals for North Footscray.

 

DIVISION 6

Laverton White defeated PCCSC Mako Sharks in a thrilling one-point victory.

Laverton ran away with a 25 to 24 win after hanging onto their lead at the end of each quarter.

Mako Sharks player Puga Deng was the game’s top scorer, bagging 22 goals for her team.

Lakers 6 took a big win against Albanvale White in a 27 to 17 victory.

The Lakers were the dominant team in the game, with their player Paris Duncan scoring the most goals for the game with 19 points for her team.
