BULLDOGS’ 2025 AFLW FIXTURE REVEALED

The Western Bulldogs have landed a bumper fixture ahead of the 2025 NAB AFLW Season, filled with marquee match-ups and family-friendly timeslots.

Our red, white and blue army will have the perfect opportunity to cheer loudly during the opening round, as the Dogs host fellow pioneers Melbourne. Playing for the Hampson Hardeman Cup – which the Dees are currently in possession of – should draw plenty to the match. The Saturday night fixture also aligns with the Club’s desire to pack out Mission Whitten Oval regularly in 2025, as the team strives to move up the AFLW ladder this season.
Indigenous Round against Hawthorn in Round 3 continues this trend, with a 7:15pm bounce under lights at Mission Whitten Oval on Saturday 30 August.

Round 6 against the 2024 Grand Finalists Brisbane will allow for our fans and members to flock to Footscray with their families, with the match beginning at 3:05pm on Sunday 21 September.

A Grand Final Eve spectacular is also included in the Dogs’ fixture, taking on Collingwood at Mission Whitten Oval on the Friday night prior to the men’s AFL decider. A special way to start one of the most exciting weekends on the Melbourne football calendar, our fans will be treated to a hive of activity around the ground with plenty promising to appeal to all ages.

Eight of the Club’s 12 games are against Victorian opponents, while travelling interstate only three times to Canberra (GWS Giants), Adelaide (Port Adelaide) and Mackay (Gold Coast SUNS).

The campaign will mark coach Tam Hyett’s second in charge, with a few new faces to the 2025 coaching panel – adding Callum Brown and Erin Meade. Brown will take charge of the backline and Meade will commence as a development coach.

The pair are no strangers to football, with Brown having played 70 AFL games across a six-year career at Collingwood. He is the son of former Magpies captain Gavin, while his sister Tarni is currently on Carlton’s AFLW list. Meade joins the Kennel following a seven-year career with Williamstown VFLW, where she holds the record as the longest-serving player.

Andrew Killingsworth (previously specialist coach) will also step up as the forwards coach, with Ben Friggi moving into a development coaching role to help manage existing work commitments.
With an exciting playing list and great fixture full of bumper matches, there is no better time to join the Bulldogs pack and become a member.

Tickets for Rounds 1 – 11 will go on sale across the country on Tuesday 15 July. Club members will have the first opportunity at 10am AEST, before the general public can purchase from 2pm AEST.
