JUNIOR FOOTBALL ADVISORY GROUP – EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The Western Football Netball League (WFNL) is calling for passionate people to join our Junior Football Advisory Group.

 

The Junior Football Advisory Group will exercise leadership, judgement and impartiality in providing strategic advice on junior football’s purpose, values, objectives, direction and conduct of the competition to both the WFNL Board and Management. 

 

Specifically, the Junior Football Advisory Group will provide a forum for: 

  • Discussion of ideas on current and potential football by-laws and issues. 
  • Direct interface with WFNL staff in relation to junior football matters 
  • Identification of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in relation to the WFNL junior football competitions and programs. 
  • Investigation and recommendations regarding the development and expansion of junior football in the western region. 
  • Consideration of annual and mid-season reviews and recommendations to address any issues which arise from those reviews. 

 

The following portfolios will exist within the Junior Football Advisory Group 

  • Talent Pathways (Male & Female) 
  • Coaching 
  • Competition Structure & Grading 
  • Junior Girls’ Football Participation 
  • Child Safety 

 

Due to the nature of the junior competitions and programs, Junior Football Advisory Group members may be active members of constituent Clubs.  Notwithstanding this, all members are expected to exercise their role on the Junior Football Advisory Group in an objective and impartial way, without favour to any one or more clubs. 

 

The Junior Football Advisory Group will not exceed more than 6 members, not including WFNL Management

  • Your name, contact details (your email, your mobile number), your club affiliation (if one), why you would like to join the Committee and a brief summary of your background in junior football.
