JOIN THE MEDIA TEAM IN 2026
The Western Football Netball League (WFNL) is looking for enthusiastic and creative individuals to join our Media Team for the 2026 season.
This is your chance to be a part of a premier football and netball competition and help cover the action and highlight the stories that make our league special. We have opportunities in almost every area, including:
- Match Reporting – Share the action and drama from game day.
- Social Media – Create engaging content and grow our online presence.
- Photography / Videography – Capture unforgettable moments on and off the field.
- Graphic Design – Design eye-catching visuals for digital and print.
- Video Editing – Produce dynamic highlights and promotional videos.
- Interviews & Features – Highlight the players, coaches, and volunteers who make our league great
- Podcasting – Be part of our audio content team, hosting or producing shows that bring fans closer to the game.
Whether you’ve got previous media experience or you’re just starting out, this is a fantastic opportunity to hone your skills, build your portfolio, and contribute to grassroots sport.

The WFNL consists of 34 member clubs and 9,200 participants competing in Senior and Junior Football and Senior Netball competitions in Melbourne’s west.
Roles are primarily volunteer-based but may include a small remuneration for certain tasks or responsibilities.
