Werribee Centrals v Point Cook Centrals
Friday night football will kick things off at Galvin Park as the Centurions and Sharks clash in the battle of the Centrals.
Werribee Centrals will enter the contest as heavy favourites with a strong 9-1 record, riding a four-game winning streak.
The Centurions won by 76 points when they last faced the Sharks in a contest that saw both sides hit the scoreboard strongly.
Point Cook Centrals brought up 2.0 (12) through its leading goalkicker Zoe Hurring.
Hurring was absent last round but put on a three-goal clinic when she was last present in Round 10.
Werribee Centrals will look to lead charge on Friday night too.
The Centurions are no stranger to the Friday night lights and will look to make it four wins on the trot.
With a 3-8 record, the Sharks will be after another impactful and mighty display against Werribee Centrals.
Laverton Magpies v Suns
At Laverton Park, a mid-table clash between the Laverton Magpies and the Suns will open Saturday’s day of football.
With both the Magpies and Suns holding 5-6 records and being separated by only seven percent on the ladder, this match could swing either way.
We last saw these two outfits lock horns in Round 5, and it was a 6.10 (46) to 3.2 (20) win that went the way of Laverton.
Since then, both sides have gone 2-4.
In what could be an event contest, the Magpies and Suns will look to draw upon its best in front of the big sticks in order to stamp some control in this game.
Kayla Ravenallo and Jamie Sawers are some options for Laverton, with respective tallies of 23 and 19.
Many Seath is an option for the Suns with 16 to her name, including a three-goal showcase against the Pies in Round 5.
With finals still on the cards for both these sides, now is the perfect time to start a winning run towards securing their place.
Parkside Spurs v North Footscray
The undefeated Parkside Spurs will welcome North Footscray to Merv Hughes Oval.
With a finals spot a certainty for Parkside, the Spurs need to keep winning if they want to finish the season at the top.
North Footscray will enter this match with confidence after it booted its highest women’s score this season of 4.2 (26) against Parkside back in Round 5.
Devils captain Amy Duggan was a big part in that history making game with two goals, while Kayla Court and Rebecca Telfer also hit the scoreboard.
It’s been a tough season for the Devils so far, but its moments like those that can really strengthen club culture.
North Footscray will look to draw upon the positives it has shown across the year so far and give the Spurs it’s all on Saturday.
Parkside won by 58 points when it last met the Devils.
Aleisha Casley scored five in the outing and continues to be a key contributor for the side.
The black, white, and teal will run onto their home deck as strong favourites.
But if the Spurs and Devils last meeting is any indication, it should certainly be a well-played game of footy.
Wyndhamvale v Yarraville Seddon
Wyndhamvale will look to put another win on the board when it welcomes Yarraville Seddon to Wyndhamvale South Reserve.
Holding second spot on the ladder, the 9-2 Falcons were victorious when they last met the Eagles in Round 5, getting the job done by 53 points.
The Eagles have gone 2-1 in the past three rounds, with some big wins against North Footscray and Point Cook Centrals to boast.
Akec Makur Chuot was a big part of those victories with nine goals coming from the two wins, taking her to lead Eagles goalkicking charts with 25.
She found three goals against the Falcons when the sides last met, but Wyndhamvale has some strong goalkicking talent of its own that’ll look to keep the side in front.
Larissa Renaut and Jessica Spall have combined for a total of 63 goals from 10 matches played, including a seven-goal blend against the Eagles.
The Eagles’ backline will certainly have their work cut out for them.
With top spot of the table still on the cards for Wyndhamvale, the Falcons will certainly want to make sure they continue their winning ways.

West Footscray took the four points when it last met Caroline Springs in Round 5 and will look to do the same this Saturday.
Nine Roosters hit the scoreboard that day, proving that they’re no side to be messed with.

With a league-leading ten best-on-ground appearances, Dawkins will be one to watch on Saturday.
