TEAGUE’S 65 ROSES CAMPAIGN

A Sunshine youngster has been busy walking laps of Kinder Smith Reserve to raise money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Teague Acreman is taking part in the 65 Roses challenge, a campaign that encourages the community to raise awareness and funds that will improve the quality of life for people living with Cystic Fibroses.

In Teague’s case, he is running laps for his 13-month old cousin Noah, who was diagnosed with the disease at just four weeks old.

He is hoping to raise money, which will help Noah and his family with ongoing medical and treatment costs.

Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited condition, with more than 3000 people living with disease in Australia.

It is the most common-life threatening condition affecting children and young adults today. The current life expectancy of someone who has Cystic Fibrosis is 37-years-old.

Teague has already walked 63 laps of the Sunshine Football Club Oval and has two more to go.

He will finish his last two laps at the half time break of Sunshine’s match with Hoppers Crossing on Saturday.

Teague is still calling on the community for support and is encouraging all of you to make a donation to support his cause.
