DUNNE TO OFFICIATE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
WRFL Umpire Samuel Dunne has been selected as one of the School Sport Victoria state team Umpires and will travel to Tasmania to officiate the national championships.
Dunne, a Catholic Regional College – Sydenham student, took part in a trial process and was selected in the final team.
It is the second time he has been involved in the School Sport Australia Championships, he participated in last year’s championships in Adelaide.
Dunne joins St Bernard’s junior Matthew Stephenson, Williamstown Juniors’ Matthew Payne and Caroline Springs young gun Kiera Whiley who will represent Victoria in Under 15 Boys and Under 15 Girls teams.
The School Sport Australia championships will be held in Launceston, Tasmania between July 27 and August 3.
