ANOTHER CHANGE AT THE TOP WITH A ROUND TO PLAY

A Friday night win in Round 15 of the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee Senior Women’s competition saw Werribee Centrals reclaim their top spot on the ladder, overcoming the Suns by just seven points at the final siren.
Meghann Basto and Julia Nash starred for the Centurions being named the best, whilst Emily Evans and Akima Manoah worked hard for the Suns.
On Saturday morning, Wyndhamvale took on Yarraville Seddon, with the Eagles downing their hosts by 52 points.
Falcons’ Harper Sell and Angel Noone were the top performers for their side, with Hannah Lazzaro and Madeleine Patterson the best for the Eagles, the latter bagging four goals.
North Sunshine hosted Laverton, with the Pies registering a 43-point win over the home side.
Amy Duggan and Renee Bonnici were amongst the best players for the Roadrunners, whilst Nikki Eustace and Jessica Manfrin each kicked a goal and were named in best.
Finally, to round out the weekend, West Footscray hosted the Parkside in their last outing of the season – a match that saw the Spurs come away 47-point victors.
Krystyn Raymundo and Tara McBean were strong for the Roosters while Rita Ceravolo and Charlees Sudholz (three goals) impressed for the Spurs.
With just one round remaining and the top four all but confirmed, the stage is set for an exciting finals series.
