August Players of the Month
SENIOR MEN’S TIV PLAYER OF THE MONTH
August: Joshua Bench – Albion
It should come as no surprise that Albion’s Joshua Bench has been named the TIV Player of the Month.
The Albion vice-captain has been instrumental in leading his side to its first finals appearance in 11 years, producing a remarkable season that has seen him named among the best players in 17 of 18 matches.
His past three games have been nothing short of elite, averaging 42.6 disposals, 182 ranking points and 77 per cent disposal efficiency, while also collecting 12 ground ball gets and laying seven tackles.
While the numbers speak for themselves, it’s Bench’s consistency, leadership and ability to impact games week after week that make him a worthy recipient of this month’s award.
SENIOR WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE MONTH 🏅
August: Chloe Elkington – Point Cook Centrals
Chloe is the type of player who catches your eye every time she goes near the ball. A standout performer all season, her selection as one of the best players in 14 of 17 matches highlights her consistency, but statistics only tell part of the story.
What truly makes Chloe a worthy Player of the Month is the admiration she has earned from those around her. During the Elimination Final, her name was constantly mentioned, not just for her skill and influence on the game, but for the energy, selflessness and leadership she brings to her team. While she may fly under the radar to some, those who play alongside her know just how valuable she is.
Chloe gives everything she has every time she steps onto the field. Whether it’s winning a crucial contest, supporting a teammate, or doing the little things that don’t always appear on the stat sheet, she consistently puts the team first and leaves nothing in the tank. That’s what makes her not only a star player, but a deserving recipient of this award.
