BRAYBROOK STUN ALBANVALE, BOOK GRAND FINAL SPOT

Braybrook has claimed an emphatic 47-point victory over Albanvale at Pennell Reserve, progressing through to the Alan Mance Motors Division 3 Seniors Grand Final.

Led by Jayden Hoskin-Elliott and captain Aidan O’Rafferty, Braybrook put in a special performance and came out firing from the first bounce.

The Brookers controlled the tempo early, heading out to a 27-point buffer at the first break.

Albanvale managed to even out the contest in the second quarter, scoring 2.3. (15) to Braybrook’s 2.2. (14).

However, Braybrook kicked into gear in the second half, recording a five-goal third and fourth quarter to steamroll Albanvale in an epic victory for the club.

Shaun Buttigieg-Clarke kicked three goals in the victory, reaching his 100th goal milestone for the season.

Brody Vorano and Nicholas Gregson also kicked three goals apiece in the win.

Braybrook’s win was their first over Albanvale this season.

Grand Final day is now set, with the Suns set to face Braybrook on Sunday at Avalon Airport Oval.

The Suns will look to maintain their dominance shown throughout the 2022 season, while Braybrook will be eager to replicate their preliminary final performance to claim premiership status.
