BROOKERS MAKE A STAND, HAWKS SOAR

Tarneit have suffered their third straight loss in Division 3, going down to Braybrook by three-points at Wootten Road Reserve.

Heading into the game with the confidence from last week’s triumph against the Laverton, the Brooker’s came in strong with Paul Cutajar- Milosev scoring the first goal of the match.

The Titans kicked the final two goals of the match and looked like snatching the game, but Braybrook stood firm and won their fifth game of the season.

The three-point win was an important one for Braybrook, who have now find themselves in fourth place.

It was a disappointing result for the Titans, who have dropped to third on the ladder.

At Robert Bruce Reserve, Albanvale proved too strong for Sunshine Heights finishing off with an 81-point win.

The Cobras had dominated in the first half, kicking 10 goals to one by half time.

Daniel Bartolo starred for the Cobras kicking four goals, while Graeme Catterall had a best on ground performance.

Sunshine Heights will look to redeem themselves in Round 9, when they face North Sunshine.

It was a missed opportunity for North Sunshine to snag their first win of the season, losing to Laverton by 30-points.

The Roadrunners led by seven-points at half-time, but a disappointing third quarter proved the difference, with the Magpies kicking seven goals to zero.

Michael Linsday starred for Laverton kicking six goals, while Matthew Hurst put in a best on ground performance.

Finally, Glen Orden proved unstoppable defeating Wyndham Suns at Goddard Street Reserve with a 24-point win holding up their top spot on the ladder.

Bailey James kicked five goals in the victory.

It will be a top-of-the-table clash this Saturday, when Glen Orden hosts Albanvale at Heathdale Oval.

The last time they played, the Hawks won by 48-points.
