BUTLER HOPES TO MAKE ST ALBANS PROUD
St Albans coach Sam Butler says we should expect to see a brand of footy that his team and supporters can be proud of in 2021.
The Saints fell short of playing finals in TIV Division 1 in 2019, after a promising start to the season.
Now with former Premiership Eagle, Butler on board, the club is hopeful of a return to the top five this season.
Butler says the extended break has allowed him to get a greater understanding of the WRFL and his playing group.
“We have added some great coaches to our staff with unbelievable knowledge,” he said.
“Our team have embraced the challenges we have set and all in all it’s been a positive period for us.
“The team have missed the competitive side of the game. We can all keep fit and enjoy time with our mates, but the competitive side of game day is going to be great to get back into.”
St Albans take on Werribee Districts at Keogh Homes Oval on April 10.
