CENTRALS BOUNCE BACK, EAGLES POST FIFTH WIN

Just three matches played out in Round 11 of the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee Senior Women’s competition, with two teams getting a big percentage boost and one narrowing the gap with the top side on the ladder.
Caroline Springs hosted Wyndhamvale on Saturday morning to kick off the round, with the Lakers lodging a massive 128-point win over the Falcons.
Jacinta Kondis continued her run of good form this season with another best on ground performance, kicking six majors for her side to cement her name at the top the league leading goal-kicker tally.
Caroline Springs teammates Stephanie Thompson and Alana Ellis also featured amongst the best, whilst Harper Sell and Rachael Hatcher were strong for Wyndhamvale.
At Shorten Reserve, West Footscray went head-to-head with Werribee Centrals, in a match that saw the ladder-leaders claim victory by 36 points.
Taylah Bloss and Abuk Akec starred for the Centurions in the hotly contested game, while lone goal kicker Krystyn Raymundo and Nittaya Hudson worked hard for the home side.
To round out the weekend Laverton took on Yarraville Seddon, with the visiting Eagles downing the Pies by 57-points.
Rosie Ronan-Yates and Phoebe McWilliams each kicked two majors for the Eagles and were named in the best, whilst Magan Ristic-Keena and Abbey Brown contributed strong defensive efforts and rebound for the Pies.
