
CENTURIONS BACK ON WINNERS LIST, ROOSTERS GO BIG

Round 8 of the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee Senior Women’s competition kicked off on Friday night and saw Werribee Centrals host Point Cook Centrals under lights at Galvin Park.
After an even first quarter, the Centurions pulled away to lock in a 22-point win by the final siren.
Keeley Spiteri (three goals) and Khayle Forsyth (one goal) were influential and hit the scoreboard for the Centurions, whilst Charli Sette (one goal) and Natasha Salisbury performed well for Sharks
On Saturday morning, Caroline Springs went head-to-head with Wyndhamvale at Caroline Springs Recreation Reserve — the Lakers securing their seventh win of the season with a 96-point victory.
Rebecca Marshall and Taya Meiers were dangerous in front of goals, kicking four and two goals respectively for the home side, with Angel Noone and Ava Strathairn amongst the best for the visiting Falcons.
Parkside Spurs welcomed Yarraville Seddon to Merv Hughes Oval and claimed a 69-point win over the Eagles after four quarters of contested footy.
Hannah Lazzaro and Natalie Pearce (one goal) were two of the key contributors for the Spurs, with teammate Tara Morgan nabbing three majors.
Kamala Cemeljic and Katelyn Kissack impressed for the visitors, with the latter kicking two goals for her side.
To round out the weekend, North Sunshine and West Footscray met for their fourth Annual Pride match at Dempster Park, the Roosters coming away with the cup yet again with a huge 230-point victory.
Janelle Sammut starred for the Roosters with a whopping 14 majors with Layla Dawkins also performing strongly.
Sammut’s massive haul sees her move into top spot in the race for leading goal kicker, three goals ahead of Caroline Springs spearhead Jacinta Kondis.
Meanwhile, Amy Duggan and Amanda Portelli worked hard under pressure for the Roadrunners.
