COACH OF THE MONTH – JUNE

The AFL Victoria – WRFL “Coach of the Month” in the Junior and Youth and Senior Age Groups for June 2019 have been announced.

This award recognizes some of the great work being done by local coaches in the Western region community and reinforces the importance of good Coaching in local football, schools and Auskick.

Nando Adorno (Point Cook U/12)

Nando has received the most nominations in the award’s history, coming from parents, club officials, and opposition clubs/coaches. Nando is a humble guy who is extremely engaging with the kids and has a clear passion for the sport. Nando has created an amazing culture among the team and always keeps it fun for the kids. Always an organised and well-planned coach, Nando is a fantastic role model for his players.

Mark Wheeler (Altona Juniors U/18 Girls)

In the first year of the team, Mark has down a mountain of work to build a great culture and camaraderie amongst the girls. Mark does a great job in teaching the girls off-field lessons as well as improving their skills on field. Mark always keeps the game fun

All winning Coaches will receive an AFL Store Voucher for their efforts and be in contention for the 2019 Coach of the Year award.
