DEVIL DELIGHT

North Footscray kicked six goals to zero in the final quarter against Glen Orden to record its fourth win of the Prestige Group Real Estate Division 2 season.

The Devils started well against the Hawks, opening a 24-point lead at the first break, thanks to the work of Adam Petridis and Brandon Walsh.

North Footscray extended its lead in the second, before a desperate Glen Orden outfit came out after half-time determined to peg back the lead and to swing momentum back in their favor.

The Hawks won the third quarter and were in reaching distance of the Devils, however it wasn’t to be.

North Footscray put in a superb defensive effort in the final quarter, keeping Glen Orden two just two points, while they piled on six goals, winning 18.8. (116) to 10.4. (64).

Walsh finished the game with four goals next to his name, while Sam Kater continues to wind back the clock, kicking three majors.

For the Hawks, Daniel Rosenzweig kicked six goals. They will look to bounce back on Saturday when they take on Albion.

Newport snapped its four-game losing streak, defeating the Cats by 62-points at JR Parsons Reserve.

Mitchell Taleb put in his best performance of the season so far, kicking five goals. Omar Obeid also impressed.

Newport will next take on Wyndhamvale at Langshaw Reserve. The last time they me, the Falcons won by a goal.

Wyndhamvale will head into that match full of confidence, having defeated Point Cook Centrals 15.7. (97) to 8.7. (55).

Dylan Woods kicked three goals, Tyler Tessari and Daniel Dhal were also prolific for the Falcons.

In the final game of the round, Parkside flexed its muscles against West Footscray, doubling their score.

Jack Collard was best a field for the Magpies, kicking five goals. John Atar also kicked four goals.

Parkside will look to make it nine straight wins when they play North Footscray on Saturday.
