ELLIOTT BECOMES A HAWK

Former WRFL junior Laura Elliott is now an AFLW player.

With Pick 26 in Wednesday night’s NAB AFLW Draft, Hawthorn selected the exciting young player, realising her footy dream of reaching the elite level.

The reliable defender is a premiership player with the Western Jets and made both the NAB League Girls Team of the Year and NAB AFLW Under 18 All-Australian team.

Elliott began playing footy with Point Cook Centrals before going to Werribee Districts.

She represented the WRFL at Junior Interleague in 2019, also winning the Best Player award for her efforts across the two games.
