FIRST PRACTICE MATCHES FOR WRFL CLUBS

Two Western Region Football League senior clubs will take to the field for the first time this season as practice matches get underway locally.

Newport and Laverton commence their 2024 preparations with preseason hitouts against Essendon and District club East Keilor and Southern Football Netball League club Lyndale respectively.

The Panthers will face EDFL Premier Division club East Keilor at Crofts Reserve across three matches with Under 18s, Reserves and Senior contests being played.

Meanwhile, Laverton plays Lyndale at Emmanuel College St Paul’s Campus where three games will also be played, with Womens, Reserves and Senior matches taking place.
