FROM A BULLDOG TO A WARRIOR

The Hoppers Crossing Football Club has announced Kerry Saunders will coach the Warriors’ Senior Women’s team in 2022.

Taking over from Mick Koropeckyj, who coached the team in their inaugural Victoria University Polytechnic season this year, Saunders will be joined by assistant coaches Ollie D’Rozario and Glen Murrell.

Saunders joins the club after coaching at Point Cook since 2019.

“Footy is a great passion of Kerry’s and with Women’s footy growing rapidly, she loves nothing more than to pass on her knowledge and seeing kids and Women grow and enjoy footy as much as she does,” the Hoppers Crossing FC announcement said.

The Warriors finished third in the Victoria University Polytechnic Senior Women’s Division 1 competition this year, winning seven of their 10 games.
