HAWKS READY TO STEP UP

Glen Orden coach Phil Crea will look to slowly build as the season progresses this year, with the Hawks making the step-up and entering Prestige Group Real Estate Division 2 this season.

Glen Orden were promoted to the second-tier competition after defeating Albanvale in the 2019 Division 3 Grand Final, a game which was more than 18 months ago.

Crea, who was a part of that special Grand Final win, says his aim this year is to see improvement in his playing squad.

“Going up a grade we are going to approach the same we did the first year, we are looking for stability and then look to build on that,” he said.

“We won’t put all of eggs in one basket for season 2021.

“(This season) you will see a very young Glen Orden side who will improve as the year goes on.”

Glen Orden will take on Point Cook Centrals at Heathdale Reserve on April 10.

The club plan on unfurling their premiership flag before the game.
