June Players of the Month
Each month a player from the TIV Division One Senior Men’s competition and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee Senior Women’s competition is selected as ‘Player of the Month’.
Players of the Month are selected based on performance, dedication to the WFNL and alignment with partner values.
TIV DIVISION ONE SENIOR MEN
Caleb McPherson – Albion
Caleb has shown consistency and growth as the season progresses and has demonstrated strong dedication within the WFNL. Averaging 30 disposals, 9 clearances, 7 score involvements, 7 tackles, he continues to dominate, making him a worthy winner for player of the month.
ST VINCENT’S PRIVATE HOSPITAL WERRIBEE SENIOR WOMEN
Layla Dawkins – West Footscray
Layla is a key player for the West Footscray side, majorly assisting in their rise on the ladder. Being nominated best on for 10 of 11 matches this season is a credit to her skill and passion for the sport. Kicking 10 goals against North Footscray during round 12 was the cherry on top of an incredible season so far.
