Vilification Incident Wyndhamvale vs North Footscray Reserves

The Western Football Netball League (WFNL) is aware of an incident involving racial vilification during the Division 2 Reserves match between Wyndhamvale Football Club and North Footscray Football Club on Saturday 9 May 2026.

The WFNL unequivocally condemns all forms of racism and racial vilification. Such behaviour has no place in our competition, our Clubs, or our community.

The League maintains a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination and is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants and supporters, regardless of their cultural background or identity.

The matter is being addressed in accordance with League rules and procedures. The WFNL will continue to work closely with both Clubs to ensure appropriate education, accountability, and support measures are in place.

The WFNL acknowledges and appreciates the cooperation shown by both Clubs in responding to this matter and reiterates that respect and inclusion are fundamental values of our competition.
