LOVE THE GAME MONTH

Love the Game month is in May, and we want your club to get involved.

By signing up to the Love the Game program you can have a positive impact on the kids in your sporting community and help raise awareness about the risks and harms associated with sports gambling.

WHY SHOULD YOU LOVE THE GAME NOT THE ODDS?

This generation of children have grown up surrounded by gambling promotions that make it seem like betting on sport is normal. Young men (18–24 years) are now the largest group of sports bettors in Victoria, and participation by young women is rising.

But we can make a change. Love the Game aims to reduce the exposure of gambling ads to kids, encourages them to love the game not the odds and helps to inform them about the risks and harms associated with gambling before they are old enough to bet, so they can make informed and critical decisions.

FREE CLUB PACK

Clubs that sign up to the Love the Game program and host a Love the Game round throughout the month of May will receive an exclusive pack containing training cones, a cap, clipboard, equipment bag, posters, and a conversation tip card.
