The Western Football Netball League (WFNL) is seeking Sports Reporters and Photographers to join its media team in 2024.
The league consists of 34 member clubs and 8,200 participants competing in Senior and Junior Football and Senior Netball competitions. We are expecting significant growth in 2024 and we aim to be more than just a community football and netball league.
For the upcoming season the WFNL is seeking volunteer Reporters to cover Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s Football, and Senior Netball as well as Photographers to cover Senior Women’s Football, Junior Football and Senior Netball.
Reporters will be tasked with writing match previews, reviews and feature articles for the WFNL website and Record.
Photographers will be responsible for capturing high-quality images for use on the WFNL social media, website and Record.
This is a fantastic opportunity for journalism, photography or media students wishing to gain experience in the sports industry or for a supporter or former player wanting to contribute in a different way.
Successful candidates will be covering matches played across Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays from April to September.
If you are interested in being a media volunteer, please email justin.jenvey@wfnl.com.au listing the role you are interested in, a brief summary of why you’d like to get involved, and any examples of your work.
