NETBALL IS BACK!

The netball season has officially kicked off, check out the full Round 1 match report below.

DIVISION 1

PCCSC Bull Sharks took down Spotswood Gold (42-30)

Rebecca Hick scored 39 goals for the Bull Sharks and Kimberley Phillips scored 20 for Spotswood.

Lakers 1 defeated Manor Lakes Storm 1 (36-24)

Maryrose Vitale scored 23 goals for Lakers and her teammate Olivia Craske scoring 13. Jessica Christie scored 16 for Manor Lakes Storm.

Braybrook Whitten were triumphant over Yarraville Seddon Eagles (32-17).

Paige Gilcrist scored 17 goals for Braybrook Whitten and Akira McCormack scored 15.

 

DIVISION 2

PCCSC Tiger Sharks defeated Spotswood Green (20-13).

Kimberley Genge scored 14 goals for the Tiger Sharks and Dylan Bowman scored 8 for Spotswood.

Lakers 2 beat Manor Lakes Storm 2 (37-17).

Jamie Ritchie scored 21 of the 37 goals for Lakers 2.

Braybrook Hawkins defeated PCCSC Hammerhead Sharks by 1 point in a thrilling match (27-28).

Jessie Patterson scored 22 of the Sharks goals and Tiarnah Lloyd scored 18 for Braybrook, securing them the win.

Albanvale Cobras were triumphant against North Footscray Red (31-23).

Vanessa Mokdissi scored 15 goals for the Cobras with her teammate Tamika Taylor scoring 16. Alexandra Macdonald scored 15 of North Footscrays 23 goals.

 

DIVISION 3

PCCSC Megalodon Sharks and Spotswood Black had a close match, with Spotswood coming out on top in the end (20-22).

Hayley Kirby scored 11 goals for the Sharks, with teammate Janine Long scoring 9.

Lakers 3 beat out Manor Lakes Storm 3 (28-21) in a close match.

Anna Busscher and Rata Hunia scored ten goals each for Manor Lakes Storm and Courtney Pretty scored 18 for Lakers.

Braybrook Priest defeated PCCSC Great White Sharks (37-18).

Christina Afoa scored 20 goals for Braybrook Priest.

Laverton Magpies were triumphant over Albion Cats White with a 32-20 win.

Kaylah Blain and Bianca Bonanzinga each scored 10 goals for the Cats and Mirian Robson scored 20 of Laverton Magpies 32 goals.

 

DIVISION 4

The Suns were victorious over Albion Cats Blue in a 34-10 win.

Tyler Stevens scored 25 of the Suns 34 goals.

Manor Lakes Storm 4 beat out Lakers 4 in a 32-24 win.

Sarah Rowlands scored 17 goals for Manor Lakes with their teammate Malanie Allison scoring an additional 15.

Sunshine Kangaroos handed PCCSC a thumping defeat with a 51-13 win.

Allanah Coward scored 31 goals for the Kangaroos.

Albanvale Blue defeated North Footscray White (31-7).

Ayuen Manyang scored 23 of Albanvales 31 goals.

 

DIVISION 5

Glen Orden Blue beat out Laverton Black in a 32-22 win.

Makayla Lee scored 13 goals for Laverton and Zoe Piccolo scored 17 for Glen Orden.

Braybrook Cowell/John have beat out PCCSC Nurse Sharks in a thrilling 24-19 match.

Cassandra Lindsay scored 13 goals for Braybrook, with Alison Mcintyre scoring 12 for the Nurse Sharks.

Lakers 5 were triumphant over Manor Lakes Storm 5 in a 17-8 victory.

Megan Haber scored 11 goals for Lakers 5.

Point Cook secured a 1-point win over Glen Orden Gold in a tight match (27-28).

Emma De Piazza scored 19 of Point Cooks 28 goal and Jaimee Johnson scored 16 for Glen Orden.

 

DIVISION 6

North Sunshine Roadrunners came out on top in a stunning 34-point win over Albanvale White (46-12).

Andrea Bernardes scored 20 goals for North Sunshine, with her teammate Angel Nasalio scoring 21.

Laverton White hung on to the victory over Lakers 6 in a close 22-24 match.

Rebecca Battaglia scored 16 goals for Lakers and Sophie Tauri scored 15 for Laverton.

Glen Orden Brown defeated PCCSC Mako Sharks in a 28-12 victory.

Mikaella Nelson scored 19 of Glen Ordens 28 goals.
