WFNL LANDS CLUB DEVELOPMENT LEAD

The Western Football Netball League is delighted to announce the appointment of the Andrew Shenker to the new role of Club Development Lead (CDL).

Andrew has been actively involved with community clubs and the sporting industry for over thirty years, both in business and as a volunteer.

The AFL Victoria supported CDL will work collaboratively with WFNL member clubs to help make it easier for club volunteers to have self-sustainable quality practices in place that lead to consistent quality experiences for all people connected to local clubs across the West.

Andew will initially work with “clubs in need” while also working on broader initiatives including the Club Development Conference set to take place in March.

With extensive involvement and knowledge of community sport and club environments along with a passion for developing clubs and helping people, Andrew is excited to commence work with the league.

“With a wide variety of experience in community sport from commercial supplier to association and club president roles, as well as general volunteer and coaching and development roles I believe that I am armed with the right knowledge and knowhow to deal with almost any issue that clubs maybe faced with,” he said.

“I look forward to sharing my experiences with all the WFNL clubs and ensuring all clubs have access to the very best support programs that the WFNL can offer.”
