PARKSIDE TAKING IT ONE WEEK AT A TIME

Parkside is taking things one week at a time.

Chris Muratore believes the Prestige Group Real Estate Division 2 Competition will be even in 2021 and says it is important for his team to stay focused on the job at hand each week rather than look too far ahead.

The Magpies take on Wyndhamvale in Round 1 on April 10.

The last time they went head-to-head was the 2019 Division 2 Preliminary Final, with the Falcons winning by seven points.

Muratore said we will be seeing a much younger looking Parkside in 2021.

“You will probably see a younger team than previous years. We want to develop some younger guys to grow into future leaders of the club,” he said.

Muratore said the approach to pre-season after a year off has been simple.

“We are slowly building on our fitness and skills progressively to ensure we have a healthy list,” he said.
