POINT COOK SET FOR FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Point Cook Senior Women’s coach Dave Rouvray says despite not getting as many wins on the board as they may expected in 2022, he is proud of how the group is sticking together.
“I think there is a couple of games we have let slip, but I am happy with our effort and that we are playing as a team, that is really pleasing,” he said.
“It has been challenging at times, but I have really enjoyed being a part of it (the team). It is really exciting to see the younger players come through.”
The Bulldogs are currently sitting in fifth place on the Victoria University Polytechnic Division 2 ladder, having won five games so far this season.
The team will look to make it six wins, when they take on Laverton at Saltwater Reserve under Friday night lights tonight.
The two teams met back in Round 7, with Point Cook winning by 44-points.
“It should be a good game, we had a really good game against them earlier this season. We are looking forward to welcoming them to Saltwater Reserve,” Rouvray said.
Point Cook hope to continue to play with great spirit for the remainder of the home and away.
“We want to round out the season, stick together and if we get the opportunity to play finals, put our best foot forward.”
Point Cook host Laverton at Saltwater Reserve tonight at 7.30pm.
