POINT COOK WIN BY A POINT

Point Cook narrowly secured their seventh win of the season with a closely fought win against Werribee Districts in the Under 18 Division 2 Competition.
In the first quarter, both teams battled to break past both defences with Werribee Districts having one scoring shot to four from Point Cook, with the Bulldogs holding onto a three-point advantage at the first break.
The second quarter was played in a similar fashion.
Werribee Districts had most of the play in the third term. Werribee Districts had five scoring shots to one, however it was a brilliant goal from Jack Gigas that gave the Tigers a one-point lead at three-quarter-time.
It was hard to separate both teams in the final quarter. Both Werribee Districts and Point Cook fought hard to win the footy, with only four scoring shots taken respectively. In the end, the Bulldogs held on to win by one-point.
Xavier De Brincat was best on ground for the Bulldogs.
In other matches, Hoppers Crossing hosted Flemington Juniors at Hogans Road Reserve. Flemington Juniors scored a huge win, defeating Hoppers Crossing by 148-points to remain unbeaten. Joshua Wilson kicked four goals.
Newport hosted Tarneit at Langshaw Reserve in the final game of the Round 11 ‘Love The Game’ Round. Newport won 8.8. (56) to 4.4. (28).
Mohammed El-Kerdi kicked three goals, while Adam Bou’Khalil was best on ground.
In Round 12, Newport host Hoppers Crossing at Langshaw Reserve, St Albans plays Point Cook at Kings Park Reserve, and Flemington Juniors will tackle Tarneit at JJ Holland Park Reserve. Werribee Districts have a bye.
