ROUND 4 OF NETBALL STUNS

Division 1

Spotswood Gold defeated Braybrook Whitten in a thrilling Round 4 match.

The game remained close throughout each quarter, with the scores all tied up at half-time. However Spotswood proved too strong, out scoring Braybrook in the final quarter.

Kimberley Phillips had another great game for Spotswood Gold, scoring her team 21 goals. Akira McCormack was Braybrook’s lead goal-scorer with 18.

Yarraville Seddon Eagles claimed themselves another win for the season, defeating Manor Lakes Storm 1 (37-23).

Manor Lakes fought hard to stay in the game, but Yarraville were consistently strong on the ball, not allowing Manor Lakes to return their goals.

Lauren Creed and Isobel Robertson were strong up front for their team, both scoring more than 18 eighteen goals each. Monique Nagle was fantastic for Manor Lakes, scoring her team 17 goals.

PCCSC Bull Sharks took out the win against Lakers 1 in a stunning 37-25 victory.

Rebecca Hicks had another great game for the Sharks, scoring her team 28 of their 37 goals.

Division 2

North Footscray Red have triumphed over PCCSC Hammerhead Sharks in a thrilling 31-24 victory.

The Sharks outscored North Footscray in the final quarter, however, it wasn’t enough to close the gap North Footscray had set up in the first half.

Kirby Smith and Alexandra Macdonald for North Footscray each scored over 15 goals a piece.

Lakers 2 have handed PCCSC Tiger Sharks a 10-point defeat after a thrilling match.

The Sharks came out with something to prove in the fourth quarter, outscoring Lakers seven goals to two. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get them the win after the Lakers set up a 15-point lead by the end of the third quarter.

Braybrook Hawkins took the victory against Spotswood Black after a big 36-21 win.

Spotswood fought hard to stay in the game but Braybrook proved too strong at every turn.

Tiarnah Lloyd(Braybrook) and Dylan Bowman (Spotswood) were the lead goal-scorers for their respective teams.

Manor Lakes Storm 2 took the win against Albanvale Cobras in a thrilling one-point win.

The game was close at each break, neither team willing to succeed, however in the last minutes of the game Manor Lakes pulled ahead.

Samra Watters and Caitlin Kennedy both scored 13 points each for Manor Lakes, helping to bring them to the victory.

Division 3

Braybrook Priest defeated Spotswood Black 21-23 in another close Round 4 match.

Braybrook were down one point at the close of the third quarter, however they came out of the gate hungry in the fourth quarter and took the win.

Holly Flynn (Spotswood) and Cassandra Pell (Braybrook) were the lead scorers for the game, both scoring 10 goals each.

Lakers 3 and PCCSC Megalodon Sharks faced off in a close 2-point thriller, with Lakers coming out triumphant 25-27.

The Sharks played hard in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lakers seven to six but it wasn’t enough to close the margin the Lakers had set up.

Laverton Magpies have handed PCCSC Great White Sharks an eight-point defeat in a thrilling 29-21 match.

Miriam Robson was the lead goal-scorer of the game with 15 goals for Laverton, with teammate Angela Karika not far behind her with 14.

In another thrilling one-point win, Manor Lakes Storm 3 have defeated Albion Cats White 24-23.

Rata Hunia and Anne Busscher both scored 12 points each for Manor Lakes. Albion Cats’ Kaylah Blain was the lead goal-scorer for the game with 16.

Division 4

Sunshine Kangaroos defeated Albion Cats Blue in a 9-point victory (35-26).

Allanah Coward had another stunning game for Sunshine, scoring 29 of her team’s 35 goals.

Lakers 4 took the win against the Suns in a 34-23 victory.

Lakers 4 had four individual goal scorers, with Bronwyn Coffey bagging 15 goals for her team. The Suns had three goal-scorers, with Tyler Stevens scoring 13 of their 23 points.

PCCSC Reef Sharks took out a stunning win against North Footscray White in another one-point thriller.

North Footscray fought hard for a comeback in the final quarter, scoring 13 goals to the Sharks six. Unfortunately missing out on the win by just two points.

Tanaya Cunningham (Reef Sharks) and Kailey Chapman (North Footscray) were the lead goal-scorers for their respective teams with 21 and 19 goals a piece.

Manor Lakes Storm 4 were triumphant over Albanvale Blue in a big 25-12 victory.

Sarah Rowlands once again had a great game for Manor Lakes, scoring 21 of her teams 25 goals.

Division 5

Glen Orden Blue have had a massive win against Manor Lakes Storm 5 in a thrilling 52-10 victory.

Shaikaya North and Zoe Piccolo scored 18 goals each for Glen Orden, helping to carry them to the big win. Manor Lakes had three individual goal scorers, with Cody Sylvester being the teams lead goal-scorer.

Laverton Black secured themselves the Round 4 win against PCCSC Nurse Sharks with a six-point victory.

Both teams remained in the competition throughout the match, with the Sharks in the lead by four points at half-time. However, Laverton came back in the second half hungry and broke into the lead by the end of the third quarter.

Makayla Lee was lead scorer for the game, with 15 goals for Laverton.

Point Cook have won against Lakers 5 in a brilliant three-point win (24-27).

The game was close for all four quarters, with both teams tied at half-time. However, Point Cook were consistent on the ball in the second half and managed to pull ahead in the third quarter.

Emelia Te Paa was the games lead goal-scorer, securing Point Cook 15 of their 27 goals.

Glen Orden Gold took out a 12-point win against Braybrook Cowell/John.

Jaimee Johnson had a spectacular game for Glen Orden, scoring 24 of their goals and securing herself as the top scorer of the game.

Division 6

PCCSC Mako Sharks defeated Lakers 6 27-18 in the Div 6 competition.

Paris Duncan (Lakers) and Puga Deng (PCCSC) were the lead goal scorers for their teams with 16 and 15 goals a piece.

Glen Orden Brown have defeated Albanvale White in a massive 42-6 victory.

Raegan Desira was the games lead goal-scorer, securing 20 of Glen Orden’s 42 goals.

North Sunshine Roadrunners were triumphant over Laverton White in a stunning 49-15 win.

Carolyn Papalii had a massive game for North Sunshine, scoring 40 goals for her side.
