SHARKS SCORE FIRST WIN

Point Cook Centrals got their first win of the Victoria University Senior Women’s season on Sunday, defeating North Sunshine, in what was a convincing victory.
Manor Lakes and Spotswood both established themselves again this week, winning by impressive margins.
In a thriller, Werribee Centrals also scored their first win of 2018, defeating Tarneit by just one-point.
Manor Lakes also pulled off another landslide victory, this week against Laverton who have suffered their third straight loss after winning in the opening round.
The Storm remain undefeated, having won the first four matches of the season. They also boast a percentage of 29900%.
The Storm had 36 scoring shots to Laverton’s zero, kicking 15 goals, 21 behinds to win by 111-points.
Gemma Anderson had another impressive performance kicking four goals. While Kellee McIntosh, who leads the league goal kicking tally, also kicked four goals.
Alysha Bettels also played well, she was among the best players for Manor Lakes.
Werribee Centrals second win of the season came after defeating Tarneit in what was really tight contest between two very evenly matched sides.
Despite leading at every break, Tarneit were unable to hold on for the four points. A heartbreaking goal to Werribee Centrals in the final quarter sealed Tarneit’s fate and got the Centrals over the line.
An outstanding performance to Brianna Gale was critical in her team’s win, with the winners having four individual goal kickers.
Spotswood have established themselves this week against a winless West Footscray outfit, winning by 55-points. Spotswood’s defence had another notable performance, keeping the home side to just two goals for the match.
Lauren Dundon kicked four goals to build the scoreboard buffer and Gilda Incigneri had another great game.
Point Cook got their first win this week against North Sunshine, who are still yet to get their first win on the board. The Sharks pulled off their best game of the season so far, kicking seven goals and getting their highest score so far.
North Sunshine will be wanting to redeem themselves in the coming weeks and need to pull together a win to keep themselves in contention.
