SUNS ON TOP, TITANS BIG WIN

A wayward-kicking Suns outfit held off a valiant Sunshine Heights by 44-points at Goddard Street Reserve in the Alan Mance Motors Division 3 competition.
It was the Dragons who started strongly, holding a six-point lead at the first break.
The Suns regrouped, putting together a dominant second quarter despite their inaccurate kicking on goal.
The ascendancy shifted again, with the Dragons bringing the margin down to 12-points at three quarter time.
However, in a similar effort to the second quarter, the Suns responded to hold off the Dragons.
Adam Moscatiello and Rhys Carr were excellent, combining with Jarrod Vella and John Tomelty who both slotted three goals.
For the visitors, Jeremy Angelowitsch was outstanding alongside a four-goal performance from Giovanni Raffaele.
The Dragons have the week off next week, while the Suns will host North Sunshine.
Elsewhere, Tarneit enjoyed an emphatic victory over Laverton, winning 19.18. (132) to 1.6. (12).
There were 12 different goal-scorers for Tarneit, in what was a complete team performance.
Alex Roze nailed four goals in a best-on-ground display.
Jai Carlton (two goals) and Luke Timms (one goal) were also very impressive for Tarneit.
On the other hand, Jordan Partridge was superb for the Magpies in defeat.
Laverton will travel to Braybrook next week, while Tarneit face the Cobras.
In the final game of the Round, Shaun Buttigieg-Clarke spearheaded Braybrook’s 107-point win over North Sunshine, kicking eight goals.
James Grubb was also influential in the win.
