SUNS STUN IN PERCENTAGE BOOSTING WIN

The Suns have handed North Sunshine a smashing 47.14(296) to 3.3(21) defeat on Saturday in their Rookie Me Division 3 – Round 3 clash.

Suns were up by 80 points at the close of the first quarter, with North Sunshine having no points yet on the board. North Sunshine battled hard to stay in the game, however the lead proved too difficult to catch.

Daniel Hovey scored an astounding 26 goals for the Suns, securing himself the title of best on field for his team.

Joshua Webster was named best on field for North Sunshine.

 

Sunshine Heights came out on top in their Rookie Me Division 3 – Round 3 clash against the Laverton Magpies, defeating them 27.18(180) to 5.11(41).

The goals were shared rather equally between the team, with Kyall Parker being the lead goal scorer with six. Jack Burgess scored three goals for Laverton, making him lead scorer for his side.

Jeremy Angelowitsch and Matthew Vorbach were each named best on field for their respective teams in Round 3.

 

Albanvale triumphed over Tarneit this weekend in a 16.14(110) to 5.7(37) defeat in their Rookie Me Division 3 – Round 3 match up.

Albanvale led by 46 points at half time and despite Tarneit fighting gallantly in the second half, Albanvale proved too strong.

Nathan Johnson and Matthew Taylor each scored five goals for Albanvale, with Brendan Binek leading the Tarneit scoreboard with two.
