SUNS WIN HIGH SCORING AFFAIR

The Suns have responded in emphatic fashion, defeating Sunshine Heights by 73-points at Ainsworth Reserve in the Alan Mance Motors Division 3 competition.
The Dragons jumped the Suns in the opening quarter, slotting six goals to two.
The Suns were able to peg the margin back in the second term, going into half-time trailing by six points.
The Suns then went rampant, putting on a third quarter blitz that saw them pile on 11 goals to one.
It was a 16-goal second half for the Suns, while the Dragons managed four.
Lucas Andrew was best-on-ground for the Suns, booting three goals in a dominant display.
Playing-coach Dean Cachia nailed 10 goals of his own in what was a truly resounding response from the Suns after a narrow one-point loss to Albanvale the week prior.
For the Dragons, Colby Blyth was sensational with six majors, while Thomas Phillips put in an impressive performance.
Sunshine Heights have the bye next week and the Suns play North Sunshine.
North Sunshine were handed a 139-point loss against the Brookers.
Shaun Buttigieg-Clarke was a standout for the Brookers with another goal-kicking haul, this time with six.
Matt Turcinovich and Dion Carabott were also outstanding as both managed three goals each.
Braybrook will be eager to maintain their winning streak as they face Laverton next week.
The Magpies fell short against a strong Tarneit side by 31-points.
It was a tight tussle in the first half, with both sides trading goals and the Magpies trailing by a slim four-points at the main break.
The second half belonged to Tarneit however, as Benjamin Arabit and Nick Williams were colossal in their side’s blitz.
Jayden Osborne bagged seven goals for Tarneit, while Adam Chapman and Ryan Potter scored two apiece.
Tarneit face an undefeated Albanvale outfit next week.
