TOP FOUR SCORE WINS

With just one round to go, the finals contenders this week proved why they were the best in the league, as the top four teams all got important wins. Laverton were able to hold off Werribee Centrals by 14-points, while Manor Lakes, Spotswood and Caroline Springs had big wins.
Sasha Edwards kicked two goals for the Magpies in their important win against Werribee Centrals, as Judith Mwaka and Abbey Brown kicked one each to put the game beyond doubt.
The scoreboard pressure from Laverton was outstanding and they continued to find goals. It was too much for Werribee Centrals to have any real chance of getting back into it.
Manor Lakes towelled up Tarneit on their own turf, winning by 130-points.
Kellee McIntosh was at her dominant best, kicking five goals, while Gemma Anderson and Yana Frontczak each kicked three.
Nine individual goal scorers for the Storm would please coach Nathan Smithwick, as they had 35 scoring opportunities.
In another big win, Spotswood defeated North Sunshine by over 102-points.
Lauren Dundon was in fine form, kicking seven goals.
North Sunshine struggled to get the ball into their forward-50 for most of the afternoon, kicking just the one goal for the match, which came in the second quarter.
Catherine How and Sara Truman were exceptional for Spotswood.
Caroline Springs have made a finals berth difficult for Point Cook Centrals with just one match to go. The Lakers kept the Sharks scoreless in the first half, and being nine goals up made it look impossible for Point Cook Centrals to get back in it, which proved to be the case.
Caitlin Pretty kicked seven goals while Alexandra Fato kicked three. Sharni Currie and Jenny Mounas kicked the only goals for the Sharks.
