VALE JASON SPOSITO

The Western Region Football League wishes sincere condolences to the Sposito family after the passing of Jason Sposito.

Jason was a Goal Umpire in the WRFL, with his connection to the league spanning decades.

Affectionately known as Sposie, he umpired several Junior and Senior Grand Finals during his time in the WRFL and often supported and encouraged younger umpires when he could.

He was a dedicated member of his community and was also involved in cricket both as a player with the Grand United Cricket Club and an Umpire, umpiring games across the western suburbs.

WRFL Goal Umpiring coach Graeme Hodgart said Jason was a great character and would be missed.

The league administration and the wider WRFL’s community’s thoughts are with Jason’s family and friends.
