WARRIORS SEEK PLAYERS
New Hoppers Crossing Senior Women’s coach Kerry Saunders is encouraging women in the region to get involved in the 2022 Victoria University Polytechnic competition.
Saunders said players and volunteers who are wanting to get involved with footy are always welcome at Hogans Road Reserve.
“Players of all abilities are welcome at Hoppers Crossing,” she said.
“We are keen to have has many players involved as possible, players who want to learn, get fit and have some fun.”
Saunders, who coached Point Cook’s inaugural Senior Women’s team, will lead the Warriors this year.
She said before Christmas, training sessions were about getting familiar with one another. Now their focus was on the footy.
“We are working on structures and some game plan things,” she said.
“The girls are really keen to learn and take it all in, which is great. Everyone is really excited about the season and are raring to go.”
Hoppers Crossing train on Monday and Wednesday nights at Hogans Road Reserve, Hoppers Crossing from 6.30pm.
