WRFL LAUNCH FEMALE DEVELOPMENT NETWORK
This year the Western Region Football League is forming a Female Development Network.
The new initiative is aimed at providing a safe and nurturing environment across the region, where women from various different fields: players, coaches, administrators, umpires, trainers; can come together to network, upskill and build personal confidence that leads to positive change and further encourages female participation in all aspects of the league.
The mission of the Network is to increase participation of girls and women on and off the field/court, provide an avenue for education and to ensure there are opportunities for advancement within clubs and throughout the league.
We will be running various workshops during the season, but to coincide with Mother’s Day this weekend we are celebrating ‘Women of the West in Sport’.
This weekend is a chance to celebrate and acknowledge the efforts of all women involved in our league.
We will be presenting a ‘Women of the West in Sport’ trophy across the following matches:
