WRFL SET TO SOCKIT2MND
The Western Region Football League is proud to be supporting FightMND this week as we take part in the Sockit2MND Round.
FightMND is Australia’s leading Independent Motor Neurone Disease association, fighting to find a cure for MND through fundraising initiatives such as the Big Freeze, Daniher’s Drive and now the Sockit2MND Round.
Since launching in 2014, FightMND has committed more than $28 million into research designed to take potential treatments from the science lab to the MND patient and to ultimately find effective treatments and a cure for MND.
This includes a world’s first drug screening program, $10 million committed to clinical trials and in 2019 alone, seven new MND research projects.
Clubs across the WRFL are encouraged to wear your Sockit2MND socks or hold a fundraiser around your club such as a raffle and join together to help raise funds to Fight MND.
This weekend is also about supporting those in your sporting community that have been affected by MND.
Please contact Georgia Cornell, Marketing and Campaign Assistant, on 0427 917 757 with any fundraising enquiries.
