WRFL STATEMENT – JUNE 3

The WRFL is aware of the EFNL and NFNL decision to cancel their senior football seasons.

The WRFL timelines for decision-making are not directly impacted by other league decisions, and announcements made by the EFNL and NFNL concerning their senior seasons reflect their own circumstances and club sentiment.

Recent club surveying showed 22 of 25 WRFL club presidents desire a return to senior football this year subject to understanding return-to-play conditions. It is hoped these conditions will be available for review by mid-June.

Clubs have been provided an indicative guide for decision-making timelines in June, and the WRFL will continue to consult and engage the feedback of its clubs as it maintains a measured and collaborative approach.
